STATE PARK EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - ORANGE COAST DISTRICT FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT / DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS OFFICE
The reporting location for this position is Orange Coast District Office in San Clemente, CA. This position will work under the general direction of Park Maintenance Chief III.
- The incumbent's work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- This position may be assigned to work at any of the park units located within the Orange Coast District, which is comprised of Bolsa Chica State Beach, Huntington State Beach, Crystal Cove State Park, Doheny State Beach, San Clemente State Beach, and San Onofre State Beach.
- The incumbent will operate a wide range of equipment, including wheel loaders, street sweepers, transport truck and trailer, backhoe, dozer, grader, dump truck, skid steer, and sewage pump equipment. Duties consist of raking beaches, sand removal, sweeping parking lots and roads, trail repairs, firebreak cleaning, transporting equipment, and assisting with storm damage repairs, cleanup, and emergency projects. This position may be required to travel throughout the state to assist other park units with emergency, unscheduled or planned projects and transport equipment to and from Sacramento. Alternate work schedules may occur during the peak season, emergency situations, or critical project needs.
- This position is designated as not telework eligible.
