What does a material tester do?

In your training as a material tester, we will first introduce you to the different materials used in our products, as well as their processing in the respective departments.

With this knowledge, you will test our raw materials and products for their quality and relevant material properties.

The variety of testing methods makes the training particularly interesting:

In our mechanical testing laboratory, you will learn how to operate highly precise testing machines, with which you can test the durability of materials through destructive tests such as compression, tension, and torsion.

You will also conduct non-destructive optical examinations and measurements using various microscopes. In addition, you will perform chemical and physical analyses to detect the composition of materials in the smallest detail. Towards the end of your training, you will specialize in the field of metal technology.

Training location:
The practical training takes place at our location in Mühlheim.

Vocational school:
The vocational school is held in block lessons at the Kerschensteinerschule in Stuttgart-Feuerbach."
