Duties:


Duties include and are not limited to:

  • Modify, repair of walls of wood, steel, sheetrock and plaster/paint/wall coverings; installation of complex furniture systems, prepares wall surfaces for the installation of furniture track, secured wall hangings, bathroom hardware, exam room fixtures and window treatment.
  • General repair of infrastructure, moving, installing and uninstalling furniture and fixtures, maintenance and repair of complex furniture systems, onthejob training, learning new concepts and procedures and cross training of similar or lower grades.
  • Minor maintenance and interior design program tasks to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction on a daily basis.
  • Install wall hung furniture, wall hangings and fixtures according to layouts, blueprints, instructions and facility plans.
  • Performs reparation, texturing and coating methods and techniques.
  • Install, remove and inventory of complex systems furniture, prepare wall surfaces for the installation of furniture track and secure wall hangings.
  • Use tools and equipment such as scrapers, wire brushes, putty knives, sandpaper, paint brushes, rollers and spray guns.
  • Prepare and document of furniture, wall hangings, wall fixtures and other interior design assets. Use electronic forms, Microsoft Office, LEAF job order system, computerize inventory spreadsheets and maintain and track all interior design assets and material located on and off site and quantities available.
  • Report all asset inventories, short falls and damage to the Interior Design supervisor for reordering or replacing.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. MST

Physical Requirements:
The duty of this position requires the incumbent to be in good physical condition. The incumbent must be able to work at various heights, such as working from ladders.

The incumbent shall be able to work in positions such as standing, stooping, bending and other tiring and uncomfortable positions.

The incumbent shall be frequently required to lift objects weighing over forty (40) pounds and occasionally lift objects weighing over ninety (90) pounds.

Note:A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
