    This is a grant-funded position with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2024

    Position Overview:


    Under general supervision of the Grant Supervisor, the incumbent will monitor and coordinate administration of post-award to ensure that budgeting and administrative policies, procedures and agency requirements adhere to granting agency regulations and requirements.


    Duties & Responsibilities:
    Provide strategic oversight and public health insight for grant activities and deliverables

    Coordinate with evaluation partners to monitor progress of grant milestones and perform quality improvement

    Serve as Liaison/POC between granting agencies, partners, and Harris County Public Health Services (HCPH)

    Approve grant spending and coordinate with Finance Team and project managers for budget oversight

    Design public health activities to meet grant objectives and coordinate with managers and staff across the OESED division and HCPH offices/divisions

    Prepare and share workplan and performance updates for funding agencies on behalf of HCPHS. Other duties as assigned, including special tasks involved in responding to an emergency event

    Education:
    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business/Public Administration, Public Health or related field.

    Experience:


    At least two (2) years of extensive administrative experience with one of those years in grant and/or program management experience.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software including 365 programs.
    Thorough understanding of grant funding policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Extremely organized and meticulous with details.
    Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize work and resources.
    Ability to meet deadlines.
    Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare budgets and financial grant reports, statements and/or projections.

    Ability to be discreet with personal information that may be needed for some grants such as employee salaries or upcoming projects.

    Ability to supervise team members effectively to promote productive, efficient, and high quality work products.

    Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:

    This is a Full-Time | Grant Funded position
    Monday – Friday | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
    Hours may vary based on the business needs of the department or task requirements

    Work Environment:
    This job operates in a professional office environment.
    This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Physical Demands:


    This is a largely sedentary role; however, some duties would require the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and bending & standing for periods at a time.
