Your tasks with us include:


The Department of Contaminated Sites/Soil Protection bundles the tasks of preventive and post-care soil protection, in particular the recording of natural and protected soils as well as the remediation of contaminated sites in all processing steps from cadastre management to the supervision of remediation.

The lower soil protection authority (UBB) performs both advisory tasks (e.g. public relations for soil protection) and traditional tasks of a special regulatory authority (e.g. imposing charges on polluters and declaring remediation plans binding).

In addition, the UBB provides opinions on all construction and planning projects in the city and commissions hazard assessments itself.
