We are seeking an experienced Waterjet Operator to join our team in east Houston.

The Waterjet Operator operates and maintains the waterjet cutting machines and precisely cuts various materials, including metals and non-metals, according to customer specifications.


Responsibilities:


  • Sets up and calibrates waterjet cutting machines according to job specifications
  • Reads and interprets technical drawings and blueprints to determine cutting requirements
  • Loads materials onto the cutting table and secures them in place
  • Programs the machine using designated software to execute cutting patterns
  • Monitors and adjusts cutting parameters to achieve desired results
  • Inspects the finished product to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications
  • Performs routine machine maintenance and troubleshoots issues as needed
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment
  • Collaborates with team members to optimize cutting processes and improve productivity

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Prior experience operating waterjet cutting machines is preferred
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
  • Familiar with CAD software for programming waterjet machines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in cutting dimensions
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot or perform minor repairs
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet production deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to traverse the warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse.
