Brandywine Counseling is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist for our Milford Drop-in-Center

We promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental illness, substance abuse, HIV and multiple occurring diagnoses, and their related challenges.
What You'll Do at Brandywine Counseling as a Peer Recovery Specialist:
- Assist in this process by supporting and assisting clients through the program.
- Assist clients in gaining entitlements and accessing resources within the community.
- Provide guidance and assist clients in overcoming barriers and challenges in their recovery journey.
- Act as case managers and will assist clients in obtaining resources such as food, vouchers, housing, linkage to employment services, childcare, and social services.
- Facilitate psychoeducation groups, provide crisis intervention and connect individuals to community resource services.
- Educate and empower individuals by assisting them in developing a strong, stable recovery support system.
- Assist individuals with selfcare and selfawareness, encouragement and support, teaching coping skills and teaching the positive benefits of longterm recovery.
- Be responsible for providing quality, sufficient and appropriate services and for maintaining high professional standards.
- This position is primarily a communitybased position. Work will be performed outside of an office setting on a regular and consistent basis.
- May need to use your own vehicle if a BCCS car is not available.
Qualifications:

REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED

REQUIRED: Must be over 18 years of age.

REQUIRED: Must have a valid driver's license with 2 points or less
- May need to use your own vehicle if a BCCS car is not available.
REQUIRED: Must be a Peer.

REQUIRED: Minimum of 2 years in recovery
- _PREFERRED_: Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS).
- If you are not certified, certification is
required within the first year of employment.
Hours:
- Monday
- Friday
- 7:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.
Salary:
- Starting at $18/hour
- Commensurate with experience, education, and certification
The compensation package for this position includes:
