Overview:


Our client, a Medical Center facility under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of largest health delivery systems in California, seeks an accomplished
Financial Analyst.





Location: 10880 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90024

Duration: 6 months w/ possibility of extension

Notes:


  • Hours: 8:00am 5:00pm PT.
  • Hybrid role. Frequency of onsite / remote work to be discussed with manager during interview.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial and statistical information required for completion of the annual Medicare and Medi-Cal cost report.
  • Participate in audits from the State and Federal Governments as well as investigations or focused audits from the Office of Inspector General.
  • Responsible for collecting and compiling the data required for various audits and appeals such P14 audit, DSH audit, I&R appeal, 340B audit, Medicare Wage Index and Medicare Cost Report audits.
  • Develop adhoc reports and modeling.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Reimbursement.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, economics, mathematics, or related field required.
  • Two or more years of experience.
  • Medicare and Medi-Cal regulation knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of thirdparty payer regulations and contracts including Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and nongovernmental payers.
  • Demonstrates highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate complex financial data.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks.
  • History of making recommendations using clear and concise presentations to senior leadership.
  • Exhibits excellent leadership and selfdirection, good judgment in handling difficult situations and good organizational, time management, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
