An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Operations & Technology team.

  • In support of this dynamic and growing sector as a Senior Business Analyst you will be responsible for the investigative work determining business requirements and specifying efficient business processes.
  • You will work hand in hand with the client, product & engineering teams to plan each assigned project associated with Enterprise Rights Program with defined milestones.

Business Analysis and Client Engagement

  • Develop deliverables, including but not limited to, workflows, wireframes and process models, detailed business requirements, use cases, business rules, release notes, change management documentation, etc.
  • Follow established demand management process to engage business partners on requirements gathering
  • Follow established governance process to prioritize requests

Project & Development Delivery

  • Partner with the product & engineering delivery team to assess technical feasibility
  • Manage blockers and impediments to the release plan
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Develop and maintain project plans to track milestones and detailed tasks
  • Track open issues
  • Write and communicate project status
  • Issue weekly project status reports

Responsibilities:


  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
  • Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities.
  • Analyzes business partner's operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
  • Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
  • Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications.
  • Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business.
  • Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.
  • Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge.
  • May make recommendations for buy versus build decision.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 35 years in business systems analysis with mastery of requirements gathering and process definition
  • Data mapping, data reviews, and analysis is helpful.
  • If they can build data models, that is good too as that is the core of it.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • If they've worked in places where they've done big data (ecommerce, etc.) it would be helpful but the specific industry is not a necessary.
  • A demonstrated track record of success in forging and developing excellent relationship with key business partners and stakeholders

Required Characteristics

  • Knowledge of Media Entertainment, Intellectual Property, IP Rights, Music Rights and associated end to end business process
  • Experience with Intellectual Property, Rights Management Systems
  • Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal. High comfortlevel with MS Office apps especially PowerPoint is a must
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, manage aggressive timelines and professionally navigate high pressure situations
  • Highly organized and detailoriented
  • Strong analytical & problemsolving skills
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, executive team, external partners

Desired Characteristics

  • Technical expertise in such areas as SQL, Data Modelling & ability to create detailed interface & date migration mapping/documents
  • Experience with User Interface and/or Report design
  • Experience with Process Improvement methodologies
  • Experience with various formal methodologies for Agile software development
  • Business savvy, with the ability to interpret technology issues for consumption by nontechnology business partners
