Position Summary:
The Dispatch Support Specialist supports the dispatcher in coordinating with collection drivers in timely and efficient manner. Maintains contact with drivers to communicate updates, delays or special instructions and relay service ETAs to customers. Prints weekly schedules, prints supporting documents (Manifest, BOLs, Labels), breaks down driver paperwork.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Performs a variety of administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence with management.
Provides support with communication and services to drivers in a professional manner; maintains contact with the drivers throughout shift.
Assists dispatcher in routing and scheduling with drivers to ensure customer satisfaction.
Data entry of all service orders and fulfills completed orders.
Maintains and completes filing of service orders and route sheets.
Scans all completed reports to internal/external customers.
Collaborates with management to help modify routes to accommodate the needs of customers.
Cultivates strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce service disruptions from last minute schedule changes.
Other Functions:
Data Entry Manifest UploadPerforms other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).1 years of experience in dispatching, hazardous waste environment, facility compliance, or related field.
