HOURGLASS COSMETICS — Store Manager, Nolita NYC
The Store Manager is an agile and dynamic leader who'll support the opening of our pop-up and flagship store. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day store operations and the team. The Store Manager will develop strategies to drive store sales, increase profitability, achieve customer service and operational targets.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:


Team:

  • Recruit, interview, hire and build a team to fill all store positions.
  • Be the main point of contact for trainings and lead the onboarding of the team.
  • Lead training sessions relating to new product releases, company policies, store processes, etc.
  • Monitor individual performance of each team member and deliver feedback as needed.
  • Develop and empower the store's team through effective and frequent coaching, feedback, recognition, and encouragement.
  • Training and development including goal setting, policy and procedure enforcement and providing ongoing knowledge as needed.

Operations:

  • Manage and supervise all aspects of daily store operations, including beverage and pastry section.
  • Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
  • Creative team schedules ensure optimal staffing in all areas.
  • Ensure back of house execution including product delivery, inventory management, backstock organization and supply orders.
  • Ensure front of house including instore animation, marketing activation, event coordination with HQ and customer service.
  • Maintain sales floor and ensure products and displays are merchandised effectively and according to HQ standards.
  • Stays current on theft and asset protection knowledge and reports concerns immediately to relevant parties.

Customer Service:

  • Demonstrate a sense of pride, commitment, and passion for our clients.
  • Lead by example and ensure the client experience is consistently bestinclass to maximize sales and encourage repeat business.
  • Act as escalation manager, seeing customer needs are met and complaints are resolved efficiently.
  • Maintain and promote the brand mission of innovation, purpose, and creativity.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years proven retail management experience preferably within cosmetics.
  • Previous retail operations experience including inventory and facilities management.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to attract clients and provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service.
  • Makeup artistry skills preferred but not essential.
  • Proven track record of leading a team to achieve sales and customer service targets.
  • Flexible and dependable with the ability to work varying schedules, including weekends and special events.
  • Experience in creating and executing instore events.
  • Previous experience with retail pointofsale software.
The expected base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 per year. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.

This position is commission eligible.
