ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Educational Services/ Professional Learning:
  • Support HUSD Vision, Mission and Goals.
  • Contribute to and communicate with the Educational Services Department and all District departments in supporting district strategies and goals.
  • Assist in the assessment of instruction and programs and make appropriate recommendations for implementation and expansion of professional learning programs.
  • Work productively as a team member with the Educational Services Department, the teaching staff, classified staff, and sitebased teams.
  • Prepare appropriate summary reports and disseminate information to appropriate decisionmakers and other public entities.
  • Communicate in a timely manner with all audiences.
  • Participate in planning committees and facilitate professional learning sessions at annual New Teacher Orientation.
  • Work with site and district administration to plan and coordinate professional learning and support to teachers, administrators, and stakeholders.
  • Curriculum/Instructional Resources:
  • Maintain a working knowledge of content specific Arizona State Grades 612 Standards.
  • Review educational materials and programs.
  • Chair curriculumrelated committees to research, develop, and/or implement programs as directed in accordance with governing board policy.
  • Provide leadership, coordinate, facilitate and manage resources for district curriculum adoptions.
  • Assist in the development of instructional maps and classroom implementation.
  • Collaborate with content specific stakeholders throughout the state.
  • Teacher Support:
  • Coach teachers, administrators, and stakeholders in instructional practices, skills, and assessments.
  • Foster a cultural of observation and feedback (nonevaluative).
  • Analyze data and assessments to guide instructional practices.
  • Support sitebased professional learning communities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university, _preferred_
  • Knowledge of content standards, instructional practices, and resources related to the education of students
  • Must hold valid Arizona Teacher Certification
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Successful teaching experience in a related content area
  • Successful prior experience in assigned responsibilities
  • No convictions for felonies or crimes against children
  • Ability to commute to school campuses with mileage reimbursement
