Job Summary:


As an Ultrasound Technician / Sonographer specializing in Cardiac / Vein, you will use imaging equipment and sound waves to create images that allow physicians to diagnose and monitor cardiovascular disorders and diseases.

This is a highly skilled position that plays a fundamental role in the health management of patients with cardiovascular conditions.


Duties:


  • Perform diagnostic procedures using ultrasound (sonographic) equipment to record vascular information such as vascular blood flow, blood pressure, circulatory tissue changes, or cerebral circulatory changes.
  • Prepare patients for the ultrasound procedures, explain the process and make sure they are comfortable.
  • Operate and care for diagnostic equipment, adjust the equipment according to specific patient condition and body type to obtain the best quality image, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Evaluate the images for their quality, but also to interpret what was captured in the image.
  • Prepare the preliminary findings for the physicians who will make the final diagnosis.
  • Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
  • Ensure the ultrasound equipment is cleaned and sanitized after each use.
  • Attend relevant department and team meetings, actively engage in knowledge sharing and continue professional development through ongoing education.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists and other medical professionals.
