We are responsible for planning, project management, construction supervision, planning and acceptance testing, environmental services, and consulting on railway-specific topics.


We are currently looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team at DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH in Berlin as soon as possible.

We are responsible for planning, project management, construction supervision, planning and acceptance testing, environmental services, and consulting on railway-specific topics.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing geotechnical advice to the construction management team during the execution of earth and foundation construction projects and developing solutions for specific geotechnical issues
  • Creating exploration concepts, developing performance specifications and tender documents for exploration work, as well as conducting soil mechanics and chemical laboratory investigations for complex projects
  • Preparing soil and foundation reports for the construction of buildings, bridges, platforms, signal and overhead line masts
  • Calculating stability and deformations in earth and foundation construction using specialized software (e.g. Plaxis 2D and 3D, GGU)
  • Conducting stability analyses and developing remediation
