At Reutlingen University, innovation meets tradition. Whether it's digital transformation, sustainable product development, or interdisciplinary research - we understand what drives science, business, and the world. In the fight against cancer and autoimmune diseases, cell therapies are increasingly being used. However, the corresponding manufacturing processes are often expensive and not effective enough. In the field of "Advanced Biomaterials for Cell and Gene Therapy", new programmable biomaterials are being developed to enable improved production of therapeutic immune cells. At the Reutlingen Research Institute (RRI), the following position is available:

WHAT YOU WILL SHAPE
  • You will work on new processes in the field of bioprocess technology for therapeutic immune cells.
  • You will use a wide range of different methods, including protein design and preparation, primary T cell culture, flow cytometry, immunophenotyping, and the production of chimeric antigen receptor modified T cells (CAR T cells). Detailed training will be provided.
  • You will independently plan, document, and evaluate your results and present them at internal meetings and meetings with external project partners.
  • You will create scientific publications and present your results at conferences.
