Your responsibilities

You actively participate in the development, implementation, and optimization of procurement strategies
You optimize the shortage management and reduce downtime
You reduce costs in procurement, based on key figures such as PPV and productivity
Expansion of payment terms with our suppliers according to corporate guidelines
You develop inventory reduction strategies such as Kanban and consignment stock
Preparation and execution of price, offer, and contract negotiations within the defined financial framework
Implementation of costsaving and optimization projects
Supplier acquisition (selection, qualification, and development)
Preparation and tracking of related tasks in the IRX implementation tool
Reporting in the procurement department
You are responsible for the procurement department, as well as the management and development of a 4person procurement team, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager at the location

Your background

Successfully completed commercial training, including specialized training in the field of procurement
Solid knowledge in technical or commercial procurement / project procurement, ideally in the field of steel construction and welding components in mechanical engineering
First leadership experience is required
Negotiation skills, assertiveness, initiative, and teamwork
Very good English language skills in spoken and written form
