RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must possess excellent leadership and mentoring skills

Should have excellent writing skills

Must have a passion for leading and mentoring staff and proven track record of building and amazing team

Must be able to manage with problem/solution basis in order to overcome obstacles in the department and achieve goals

Must be results driven

Must have an obvious passion for Seniors

Must be able to attract and hire new staff, as well as work to retain existing employees

Must have knowledge of Department of Health rules and regulations as they pertain to Assisted Living

Responsible for the supervision and coordination of all resident care on a twenty-four hour basis

Coordination of resident services

Must teach and follow all of the company's policies and procedures

Assesses potential residents in conjunction with the team to determine appropriateness for move-in

Assists in obtaining all new move in medical paperwork and related

Coordinates the completion of the resident's initial Individualized Service Plan (ISP)

Implements the ISP to meet the needs of the resident

Reviews and updates the ISP as needed

Participates in weekly Care Team Meetings

Assesses continuously the physical and mental needs/conditions of all residents

Is knowledgeable of residents' condition at all times

Must have excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with residents, resident's representatives and staff

Maintains all required records and reports

Self audits weekly, monthly, in conjunction with support staff to ensure compliance

Responds to emergencies; assures comfort and safety, secures necessary emergency medical assistance

Monitors resident medications and ensures they are ordered and received in a timely manner

Monitors medication records to assure accuracy and ensures all staff are following policies and procedures relating to such

Maintains a supportive relationship with family members, keeping them fully informed of resident care and concerns

Hiring and supervision of staff, including scheduling, mentoring, evaluating and disciplining when necessary

Assists in planning and establishing lines of communication; motivates employees and resolves grievances, recommends promotions, demotions and disciplinary actions
Ensures staff are trained and staffing levels are adequate to meet the residents' needs

Coordinates the work of the department with the work of other departments

Must work well as part of a cohesive team

Participation in preparation of departmental budget
Performs any other functions that may be assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

Healthcare certification
***Pay: $75, $90,000.00 per year
