ABOUT THE ELEVATE TEACHER RESIDENCY
The Elevate Teacher Residency is a teacher training program offering an innovative pathway into the teaching profession and a teaching credential in just one year. Residents gain hands-on teaching experience, learn alongside a highly effective mentor teacher, and join a supportive learning community of passionate aspiring educators.
The residency is a partnership committed to educational equity between Invictus Academy of Richmond, Elevate Teaching, and Loyola Marymount University (LMU).

THE ROLE
Elevate Teaching and our partner schools are seeking diverse, passionate Teacher Residents to join our first residency cohort beginning in June 2024. This is a unique opportunity to earn your teaching credential through an affordable pathway while learning how to teach in a supportive environment. Residents will work 4 days a week as a paid Instructional Assistant alongside an experienced mentor teacher while earning a preliminary teaching credential in Elementary Education (multiple subject), Math, Science or Special Education in just one year. Residents also have the option to pursue a Masters Degree after completion of the Residency year. After the Residency Year, graduates receive priority hiring as teachers at Invictus Academy of Richmond.
