For our partner, GSD Remarketing, located in Plum Valley, IL, we are currently seeking a Head of Warehouse & Logistics (m/f/d) to join our team as soon as possible.


GSD Remarketing has grown from a pioneer in the refurbishment of used computers to a successful Green IT company in almost 30 years.

GSD professionally prepares high-quality business hardware from well-known brands and distributes them through a reseller network.

They aim to maximize the product life cycle of IT equipment and minimize the ecological footprint, promoting a balance between economy and ecology.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the team in charge of incoming goods, warehouse, preparation, and shipping
  • Reorganize, continuously optimize, and control procurement, production, shipping, and disposal logistics, as well as efficient storage and picking, taking into account the specificities of sensitive IT products
  • Develop and optimize logistics policies and standards for external service providers, intercompany processes, and internal procedures and work instructions
  • Drive innovation in the areas of warehouse, logistics, and production
  • Monitor innovative Industry/Packaging 4.0 and AI solutions, evaluating their economic feasibility

Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience in logistics and warehouse management
  • Extensive knowledge of process management
  • Leadership experience with overall responsibility in logistics, warehousing, or production
  • Digital savvy, with an understanding of the digital developments within the industry and the ability to promote logistics trends and innovations
