The Administrative Accounting Specialist assists the Clerk of the Superior Court in disbursing court-ordered fees and providing account receivables to the public, the legal community, Courts, County, and other governmental agencies so they can be assured that all Superior Court monies are properly receipted, accounted for, and disbursed.

- High school diploma or GED
- Three or more years of experience performing accounting or bookkeeping functions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Associate's degree or higher in Business, Accounting, or a closely related field
- Assist the accountant staff by disbursing funds from three major bank accounts, acting upon financial orders of the court, and recording and disbursing monies received
- Verify and audit department cashier deposits and prepares daily bank deposits
- Monitor and maintain the security of the cash vault
- Train new staff members and conduct ongoing training for subordinate staff in disbursement and account receivables
- Receive, release, manage, and receipt funds in Trust in an automated system
- Receive and download electronic data to check printing software and monitors the check printing process
- Prepare endofmonth agency checks for amounts receipted to various and multiple county funds throughout the month
- Process Court Orders from a workflow system
- Perform research related to unclaimed and undeliverable funds and prepare and maintain fund listings for transfer to the Arizona Department of Revenue
- Responds to internal and external customer inquiries and requests with the highest level of service possible
- Mostly office setting in high volume, fastpaced environment
- Requires long periods of sitting while completing computer activities
- Ability to carry, push, or pull 20pound items up to a distance of 25 feet
- Must pass a preemployment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safetysensitive
