Overview:
The UCLA Compliance Office is part of the Office of the Chancellor and provides guidance and oversight of the development, implementation, and administration of a compliance program that is consistent with UC policies, procedures, ethical principals and core values


Responsibilities:
UCLA is seeking a Compliance Specialist with experience in project management who has the ability to report on trends. This is your opportunity to join a mission-based institution and a growing team.

This individual will be responsible for managing complex compliance projects and will help identify areas of risk for the University.


Salary & Compensation:
*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and comprehensive understanding of emerging trends and regulatory requirements including but not limited to the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, Code of Federal Regulations, and California Code of Regulations. (preferred)
  • Experience with developing compliance metrics and measurements, and holding individuals and departments accountable in a thoughtful manner encouraging support of the compliance process. (preferred)
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate the impact of changes in federal and state regulations. (preferred)
  • Skill in analyzing information and objectives to define problems, identify patterns, tendencies and relationships, formulate logical and objective conclusions and recognize alternatives and their implications. (preferred)
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, on a onetoone basis or in group situations, stressing qualities of tact, discretion, and persuasiveness. (required)
  • Ability to summarize and present complex information and results in a manner easily understood by nonexperts. (required)
  • Skill in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct reports and business correspondence. (required)
  • Ability to work independently, setting priorities which accurately reflect relative importance of job responsibility. Ability to adapt to changes as a result of automation. (required)
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Access and other database query programs. Working knowledge of Powerpoint, Power BI and/or presentation materials. (required)
  • Project Manager Skills (required)
  • Experience in designing and operating compliance learning campaigns as well as leading live presentations. (preferred)
  • Experience with policy development and administration. (preferred)
