- Manage the preparation of SBA 8(a), Mentor-Protégé and Joint Venture Applications including entry into SBA CERTIFY system.
- Manage SBA annual reviews and report requirements including data entry into SBA CERTIFY system.
- Manage the development and reporting of Joint Venture and Mentor/Protégée agreements.
- Manage System for Award Management (SAM)
- Manage state licensing requirements for business/personnel outside of Alaska.
- Manage the multi-state DBE applications/reporting.
- Coordinate Bonding and Insurance requirements.
- Knowledge of federal and state contracting programs including SBA, DBE, and other related programs.
- Knowledge of basic corporate governance principles, and knowledge of SBA rules and regulations, including the 8(a) Business Development Program, Alaska Native Corporations, and basic contract principles.
- Knowledge of state business registration and licensing requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as basic contracts, insurance policies, governmental forms relating to business registration and licensing, safety rules, and other like documents.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to use standard business computers and business applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint programs, especially Word, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to multi-task and manage time.
- Strong self-motivation and work ethic, and ability to work without direct supervision.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Ability to create and maintain highest levels of confidentiality when dealing with proprietary information and sensitive situations.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience working in a business with federal and state contracting experience required, 5 years preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug and background screening.
- Two or more years' experience working with an Alaska Native Corporation and SBA programs preferred.
- Alaska notary certification preferred.
