The CalSTRS Investments Branch is seeking an experienced individual to work as a Staff Services Analyst on the Global Equity team.


  • Global Equity is the largest asset class by market value in the total fund and is dedicated to maximizing riskadjusted returns. The Global Equity team manages more than $80 billion in assets internally in passive index strategies across the U.S., developed nonU.S. and emerging markets. The remainder of the portfolio is invested with external investment managers in active equity strategies. The overall portfolio is diversified across market capitalization, style, region, and investment strategy.
  • Under the supervision of the Director of Global Equity, the Staff Services Analyst (General) provides analytical support for the Global Equity unit and assists with investment analysis, communication, travel and other related items to support the goals and objectives of the unit. The Staff Services Analyst is responsible for performing work of average difficulty requiring a moderate degree of supervision and oversight.

  • Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team to support team, unit, and Investments Branch goals
  • Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.

Working Conditions

  • CalSTRS offers a hybrid approach with staff working onsite at our Headquarters in West Sacramento 23 days per week.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment with CalSTRS.
