"Deutsche Bahn is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are looking for candidates for a 3-year apprenticeship as a Track Builder / Civil Engineering Specialist (m/f/d) for DB RegioNetz Infrastructure in Wolkenstein. The vocational school is located in Magdeburg and the training workshop is in Königsborn (near Magdeburg).
What to expect during your apprenticeship:
  • You will work with your team on construction sites, maintaining our railway tracks
  • Together, you will work on tracks and switches, inspecting for any faults and replacing damaged parts
  • You will also renew the stones and gravel layers under the tracks, using modern machinery to make the job easier
  • Ensuring precise measurements to prevent any shaking during train rides will also be part of your responsibilities
  • After your apprenticeship, you will be an essential part of the team, ensuring the safe and smooth transportation of passengers to their destinations every day
Your profile:
  • You have (or will soon have) successfully completed your education
  • You prefer working outdoors rather than in an office setting
