Gansevoort Hotel is looking for experienced Batenders. 2+ years of experience in luxury hospitality setting is required.

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team.

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Duties:

Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to customers
Take drink orders from customers and ensure accurate and timely delivery
Provide recommendations on drink selections based on customer preferences
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
Monitor alcohol consumption of customers and enforce responsible drinking practices
Collect payment from customers and process transactions accurately using the cash register or POS system
Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the bar

Skills:

Previous experience in bartending or related roles in the food industry
Strong knowledge of various drink recipes and mixology techniques
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
Proficient in operating a cash register or POS system
Basic math skills for calculating bills, handling cash, and making change
Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus
Ability to handle food safely and adhere to food handling guidelines
Strong multitasking abilities to handle multiple orders simultaneously
Effective communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and management

Job Types:
