The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to improve with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3-year apprenticeship as a specialist in rail operations (m/f/d) at the Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH Untermain VU in Aschaffenburg.

The vocational school is located in Nuremberg.

During your apprenticeship, you will learn how to operate buses and obtain a Class D driver's license.

You will also learn about the vehicle technology of different bus models, how to maintain and troubleshoot buses, and provide customer service regarding transportation connections and fares.

Additionally, you will gain experience in implementing advertising measures and become familiar with planning and managing vehicle and personnel deployment.


After completing your apprenticeship, you will primarily work in the control center as a trained specialist in rail operations, responsible for personnel and vehicle dispatch.


To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you should have completed at least a middle school education and be at least 17 years old.

You should also have a passion for technology, the ability to remain calm and organized in difficult situations, and a strong focus on service and safety.

Flexibility and reliability are also important qualities, and having a Class B driver's license is advantageous.
