About our client:

Our client, located in Barstow, CA, is a subsidiary of a globally recognized financial institution (Fortune Global 500 company) and is currently seeking a full-time Accounting Officer.

Qualifications and knowledge:

Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance
Familiarity with HGB and IFRS
Understanding of Regulatory Reporting requirements
Knowledge of German tax law is preferred
Experience in Regulatory Reporting and familiarity with reporting system (BAIS) is a plus
Fluent in German and English, knowledge of Chinese is a bonus
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel

Duties and responsibilities:

Prepare statistical and regulatory reports for Bundesbank
Generate Daily Regulatory Ratios and report to management
Assist with interpreting regulatory reporting requirements for the Branch
Perform daily accounting tasks such as expense and accounts payable booking, fixed asset accounting, tax accounting, and general ledger account reconciliation
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting based on HGB and IFRS
Assist with management reporting and controlling
Aid in the preparation of tax declarations, monthly VAT returns, and transfer pricing documents
Serve as a professional point of contact for colleagues, service providers, auditors, regulators, and other authorities
