Speech Therapy Training

During the vocational training to become a speech therapist, you will acquire all the necessary knowledge to treat various voice and speech disorders after successfully completing your state-certified speech therapy degree.

Areas of application for speech therapy include speech development disorders due to early childhood hearing and brain development disorders, pronunciation errors and speech disorders resulting from organic changes. As a speech therapist, you will also deal with disorders of speech flow, speech disorders after injuries, surgeries and brain diseases, as well as functional and psychogenic voice disorders.

An important part of the training to become a speech therapist is the extensive practical training. Here, students are supported in applying theoretically learned therapy methods to patients. Through the example of the Speech Therapy Teaching Practice, where patients are treated by students under the supervision of teachers, they acquire practical knowledge.

The training is tuition-free*, and additional books can be ordered if desired.
