Environmental Officer on Board (M/F/d)

Your Responsibilities:


  • Ensuring the environmental compliance of the ship through active implementation
  • Conducting environmental trainings for all personnel on board and new Environmental Officers
  • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of all environmental records on board
  • Properly segregating all types of waste, including liquid and solid, on board
  • Conducting regular rounds to inspect Engine Spaces, Garbage Handling, and food preparation areas

Your Profile:


  • Possess a degree in environmental science or higher, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or
  • Have experience operating or maintaining technical systems similar to those found on cruise ships, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and an engineering degree or higher, or
  • Former Navy or Coast Guard engineer with a rank of Chief Petty Officer or higher, or
  • Marine Engineering Officer with a rank of 2nd Engineer or higher and an STCW A-III/2 certificate of competency, or Deck Officer with a rank of 1st Officer or equivalent and an STCW A-II/2 certificate of competency
  • Advanced proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
