    Green Top Farms was founded by a farmer-turned-public-school-teacher who was troubled by the lack of fresh, nutritious foods for many New York families. For the last seven years we have built a high volume food service, catering and delivery business. Throughout that time we have remained deeply involved in working to provide better food resources and education for school children, food pantries, and the broader community. We have also pursued our vision for a more sustainable and equitable food system. We spent the majority of our energies during the COVID Pandemic serving NYC City Agencies in the provision of food for the underserved, as well as non-profit agencies throughout NYC.

    Our mission is to build a more sustainable and equitable food system, starting by reconnecting consumers and local farmers. We believe the results of strengthening that connection are better nutrition, more tasty food, greater social justice, and reduced environmental impacts. Our menus reflect this attention to bringing nutritious, delicious food to those who need it most.

    What You'll Do:

    • Building and maintaining a catalog of recipes, including streamlining and standardization of ingredients and process creation of new ingredients and products in the system
    • Clear and concise internal communication to solve immediate blocks regarding recipes and products with the appropriate teams to keep relevant members informed of any necessary changes to services on time
    • Receiving and processing feedback to make modifications to existing recipes
    • Translating menus from software into PDF for customer-facing presentation
    • Familiarize oneself and be able to navigate through inventory management within point-of-sale systems with meticulous attention to detail
    • Product menu and label creation within the inventory management system
    • Collaborate with brand marketing on new branding initiatives, email correspondence about new products, and storytelling around our business model
    • Adhere to recurring daily and weekly strict deadlines for data, menu, production, and order entry
    • Produce daily and weekly reports to improve the efficiency of accounts

    Who You Are:

    • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination will be required
    • Working knowledge of Excel, and Google Workspace; familiar with manufacturing inventory management systems
    • Working knowledge of coding, using SQL is strongly preferred
    • 2+ years of varied administrative, customer service, and program/contract coordinator duties
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong tech and creative problem-solving skills
    • Passionate about local food and nutrition, and on a mission to reach folks with better food.
    • Must have flexible schedule availability

    Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM, requires flexibility

    Pay: Starting at $21.00/hour
