Salary:
$40,000 - $45,000

Position Summary:


The Human Resources Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Human Resources department by providing administrative support to the team in all functional areas.

Duties include filing & file maintenance; assisting with scheduling, onboarding tasks, invoice processing, supporting major projects and initiatives, and supporting communications for the Human Resource department.

The Human Resources Assistant must work in close and successful collaboration with other members of the Human Resources and administrative staff and management throughout the organization.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide general support and receive, welcome and direct to all human resources functions including maintaining departmental records and notes; effectively responding to staff and managers at all organizational levels
  • Support overall Human Resources initiatives and objectives in a timely and effective manner and help develop, implement and improve human resources processes and workflows
  • Responsible for the inventory, maintenance, creation and updating of all employee files, electronic or hard copy, stored on and offsite and coordinating interns or other support
  • Assist in the preparation, maintenance and distribution of departmental records including spreadsheets, presentations, reports and correspondence
  • Assist with preparation, distribution and followup to all forms of individual and mass correspondence and communication
  • Assist in the systematic collection, review, coding and submission of invoices
  • Coordinate with other administrative departments and functions to ensure effective integration of human resources role in cross agency functions
  • Participate in human resources events, activities and committees including staff events, wellness, recognition and retention
  • Perform other administrative and project support assignments as required

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Two years of collegelevel education and two years of relevant experience or a successful combinations of education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to support and collaborate with a multifunctional team
  • Effective customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to remain organized and produce work with high degree of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work tasks by effectively prioritizing and with the ability to move seamlessly between assigned tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite or related software, particularly spreadsheets
