The Civil Litigation Division defends the District of Columbia, including District agencies, officers, and employees, in civil lawsuits filed in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and the U.S.
Duties and Responsibilities

Attorneys within CLD Section III handle a variety of matters, including employment discrimination claims, personal injury and other common law tort cases, and federal constitutional civil rights litigation, among others.

Working Conditions/ Environment
Work is primarily performed in an office setting.
Generally, work is sedentary, some walking, handling, and carrying of light to moderately heavy objects (such as case records, briefcases, and exhibits) is required.

The starting salary for this position is negotiable up to $128,824 depending on qualifications and availability of funds.

Tour of Duty:
Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
In-person reporting with limited telework and flexible work schedules available upon eligibility.
