The Foster Care Department provides counseling and support for foster families as part of the full-time foster care program for children and adolescents who are temporarily or permanently unable to live with their parents.

Your responsibilities:


  • Counseling and preparation, qualification, and recognition of applicants as foster parents
  • Recognition process for selfinitiated grandparent, relative, and network foster care for the child or adolescent
  • Counseling for parents and support to promote their relationship with their child
  • Needs assessment for matching, selection, and placement of the child with suitable foster parents
  • Counseling and support for all parties involved in the foster care relationship, in line with the agreedupon goals in the care plan process
  • Qualification of those involved to stabilize the foster care relationship through group activities, seminars, and more.
