This role is a limited, external contract for an initial period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension. Our client is a leading technology startup in Germany with approximately 800 employees. The position is located near Munich/West.

Your role and team:

As an IT Governance Specialist, you will have a crucial role in ensuring that IT practices are in line with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Your main focus will be on implementing strong IT governance frameworks, policies, and processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, manage risks, and achieve operational excellence.

Your daily responsibilities:

Define IT Objectives:
Work closely with senior management to establish clear and measurable IT objectives that align with the overall organizational strategy.
Develop IT vision and mission statements to guide decision-making.
Design and implement IT initiatives.

Governance Framework:
Create and maintain an IT governance framework that includes principles, policies, roles, and processes.
Ensure alignment with broader corporate governance structures.
Utilize industry standards (such as ITIL and COBIT) to inform the framework.

Policy Development and Compliance:
Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Assess risks and
