Job DescriptionDescription:

Hadco Metal Trading distributes and supplies metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and mechanical grade plastics. Hadco products include plate, sheet, and extensive offerings of long products for general engineering, aerospace, and commercial markets. Our range of precision cutting equipment includes waterjet, band saws, plate saws, and shears.

Hadco Metal Trading branches are located strategically in New York, Philadelphia, Connecticut, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Georgia, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and California with transfer stations located throughout the East, Midwest and West allowing a nationwide presence and coverage.

Currently we are looking for experienced Material Handlers who have strong math and measuring ability as well as basic computer skills.

WORK SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday 11:00AM-8:00PM

Role & Responsibilities:

Safely operate forklift to pull material for processing.
Verify alloy, weight, and count to ensure material pulled matches work order specifications using micrometer/caliper.
Solve mathematical calculations required on orders.
Safely operate forklift and/or overhead crane to move and deliver material to designated areas.
Package completed orders.
Accurately enter work order information into computer ERP system.
Help maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.

Requirements:

Must have math and measuring skills including fractions and decimals.
Must know how to use a micrometer or caliper.
Must have ability to accurately enter work orders into company ERP system.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English preferred.
Ability to identify material by a color-coded system.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, stretch, reach, and stoop.
Minimum 18 years of age.
