ANDON Specialties, Inc. is searching for an
Inside Sales Representative to support the outside sales team from our office in
Houston, TX.


WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? _Responsibilities_**:

  • Determine customer requirements and expectations by proactively recommending items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Improve transaction profitability and increase sales volumes and average order size by means of crossselling, upselling and addon sales.
  • Acquire RFQ, obtain customer estimated purchase and required delivery timeline and validate part number, pricing, product inventory and delivery lead times.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain on part number setup and product inventory.
  • Generate P21 or factory quotes, enter in Salesforce as required and provide with all relevant information including Andon and/or manufacturer shipping and payment terms to customers.
  • Manage opportunity files, followup with customers within minimum Andon standard timeline and update account managers on status.
  • Confirm customer purchase orders meet minimum standards for order acceptance prior to order entry.
  • Ensure Order Management has all information required for accurate and complete order entry.
  • Remain current on market trends, customer preferences and product development by attending sales meetings, vendor training or reading trade journals.
  • Generate new and repeat sales by delivering superior service and communication to customers.
  • Achieve and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and Andon sales team.
  • Communicate with Supply Chain & Operations Manager any unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products.
  • Notify Supply Chain of customer inquiries for large volume and value products.
  • Engage with Accounting Dept. and factory in regard to account setup and review.
  • Actively Continuously seeks to improve the cohesiveness, communication, cooperation and collaboration within the assigned Sales Team(s) comprised of Sales Managers, Account Leaders and Order Management Representatives.
  • Partners with Account Leaders in monthly sales pipeline reviews and execution of account strategies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

HOW TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE? _Preferred experience:_**- Bachelor degree _p_referred_

  • Industrial sales experience
  • Process automation/instrumentation and/or analytical sales experience
  • Industry experience in one, or more, of the following: _petrochemical, oil & gas, life sciences, and/or semiconductor_

This is an on-site opportunity.

This individual will work out of our corporate office which is located off of Reed Road and 288 in Houston, TX.
