Circular Economy and Resource Management


The Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, in cooperation with IZES gGmbH, is seeking to fill a W2 professorship for Circular Economy and Resource Management at the earliest possible date.


Your Profile

  • Indepth scientific knowledge and experience in Circular Economy and Resource Management
  • Knowledge and experience in the areas of Bioeconomy, Environmental Management Systems, and Contaminated Site Remediation are advantageous
  • Outstanding scientific and pedagogical qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in LCA and CSR methods are desirable
  • Clear focus on applied research
  • Fluent language skills in German and English
  • Additional language skills, preferably in French, as well as evidence of international project experience are also advantageous

Your Tasks

  • Teaching courses in the fields of Environmental Engineering and Civil Engineering
  • Active participation in basic education
  • Dedicated involvement in the development of the faculty and university
  • Willingness to cooperate and work interdisciplinary and across faculties
  • Representation of the subject area in teaching, research, and academic development
  • Offer of lectures in English
  • Presence at the university location for optimal student support
  • Applied research in the listed areas, equivalent to 1/3 of the position, for IZES gGmbH

Your Qualifications

  • Completed university degree
  • Pedagogical aptitude, usually demonstrated through teaching experience or training and participation in further education in university didactics
  • Special aptitude for academic work,
