The Senckenberg Society for Nature Research (SGN) was founded in 1817 and is one of the most important research institutions for biodiversity.

With eleven locations throughout Germany, scientists from over 40 nations conduct cutting-edge research on an international level. The main headquarters of the society is located in the city of Frankfurt, in the heart of Germany. One of the most well-known Senckenberg facilities, the Senckenberg Nature Museum, is also located here.


For our
Frankfurt am Main location, we are looking for a
student assistant (m/f/d) to join our communication team for the press department starting in September.


Your tasks

  • Weekly creation of the internal press review (including categorization of topics and selection of articles)
  • Creation of special press reviews on specific topics
  • Participation in the creation of the monthly newsletter for the Senckenberg Nature Museum Frankfurt
  • Organization and support of press events
  • Maintenance of the press database
  • Preparation and support of filming and photo shoots at the Senckenberg Nature Museum Frankfurt
  • Assistance with general office tasks

Your qualifications

  • Currently studying in the field of communication sciences or a related field
  • Good organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • High reliability and quick comprehension
  • Independent and responsible work style
  • Good IT skills, especially in MS Office and Adobe Suite
  • Ideally, good knowledge of English
