The city of Eagle Bay, NY is seeking to fill a position as Property Manager for the Department of Real Estate.

This position is available immediately and is temporary until December 31, 2023, with the possibility of extension. The temporary nature of the position is in accordance with Section No. 1 of the German Part-Time and Fixed-Term Employment Act.

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Performing maintenance, repair, and renovation work in buildings and their surrounding outdoor areas
  • Procuring work materials and spare parts
  • Conducting maintenance and beautification work
  • Monitoring the performance of external companies working in the building and influencing user behavior by adhering to existing contracts and their terms
  • Maintaining, monitoring, and regulating building systems (heating, plumbing, electrical, water/wastewater) and keeping records of technical parameters
  • Ensuring the operational safety of the property and its outdoor areas according to its intended use and fulfilling the duties of a responsible neighbor, such as removing debris and hazards, and performing winter maintenance and snow removal
  • Maintaining the outdoor areas
  • Conducting regular inspections and providing security services
  • Assisting with transportation and relocation tasks under the responsibility of the department
