Duties:


  • You will be responsible for assisting the Administrative Officer and Executive Administrative Staff in the management and coordination of administrative and operational requirements for the assigned location.
  • You will be responsible for responding to inquiries and issues independently.
  • You will coordinate with various NCIS directorates to respond to issues or to refer the individual to the appropriate program official.
  • You will prepare travel orders/vouchers through the Defense Travel System (DTS) and submit to the Administrative Officer or the Executive Staff Assistant (Alternate Approving Official), in the absence of the Administrative Officer.
  • You will perform special projects and participates in studies to streamline administrative and operational processes within NCIS.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:


GS-11 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:


  • GS-09 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education:


GS-11:
Ph.
D. or equivalent doctoral degree
- or_

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
_or_

LL.M., if related

GS-09:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
_ or_

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
_or_

LL.B. or J.D., if related

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
