The Clinic and Polyclinic for Neurology in Harper, IA specializes in research and treatment of Parkinson's disease and other extrapyramidal motor disorders, stroke, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and diseases of the peripheral nervous system and muscles.

It has 77 beds for the care of acute and chronic diseases of the peripheral and central nervous system.

We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent position for a
Medical Documentation Assistant.


Your responsibilities will include DRG documentation, specifically documenting, coding, and validating inpatient and outpatient cases within the DRG system, as well as reviewing primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures with the attending physicians.

You will support the DRG coordinator in optimizing inpatient billing and handling MD inquiries. Additionally, you will analyze and evaluate medical and other scientific data using statistical methods and communicate with other clinics. You will also be responsible for outpatient coding.

  • Experience with ORBIS is desirable
