We are seeking an intern (M/F/divers) to join our team in Llewellyn Park, NJ for a minimum of 6 months starting in June 2023.

Your responsibilities will include:

Familiarizing yourself with existing Functional Safety standards and processes, such as ISO2626
Conducting indepth research on various Neural Network hardware accelerator architectures
Learning about Fault simulation using available tools
Developing an environment to simulate faults on a reference NPU architecture
Analyzing the sensitivity of the NPU to different types of hardware faults

- (Optional - potential for a thesis project) Identifying ways to mitigate the NPU's sensitivity to faults

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a technical program such as electrical engineering, computer science, or communications engineering
Proficient in Verilog/VHDL
Knowledge of C, C++, embedded software, Python, Tensorflow/Pytorch/Caffe, and Microprocessor technology
Familiarity with Unix is a plus
Proficient in MS Office programs
Strong English and German language skills
Quick learner with strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
