    Job Description:

    Join our team as a Sous Chef, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing kitchen operations under the guidance of the Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine. As the shift supervisor, you will ensure a smooth workflow, conduct daily food safety checks, and lead pre-shift meetings. In addition, the role involves managing back-of-house team performance, maintaining vendor relationships, and handling essential kitchen duties.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage opening procedures, including inventory checks and temperature logs
    • Supervise break schedules and labor management for kitchen staff
    • Assist in budgeting, inventory control, and order scheduling
    • Enforce safety and hygiene protocols at all times
    • Coordinate food preparation, quality control, and recipe adjustments
    • Train new staff and provide support across all kitchen stations
    • Expedite food orders during service and ensure quality standards
    • Oversee closing procedures and equipment breakdown
    • Implement new menu rollouts and ensure team readiness
    • Enforce safety procedures and report any incidents promptly

    Requirements:

    • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
    • Proficient in all back-of-house positions
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred
    • Basic computer proficiency
    • Knowledge of industry standards and health regulations

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
    • Required manual dexterity and visual acuity
    • Stamina to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
    • Manual skills to operate kitchen equipment
