Client Profile:
A leading independent consulting company with a global presence in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. They are looking for a Project Manager (Overhead Line Construction) to join their recently opened office in Beatty, NV.


Your tasks:

The focus of the department _Power Transmission and Power Distribution_ is the planning and optimization of power plants.

This includes high-voltage AC and DC transmission at all voltage levels, using both overhead and gas-insulated lines (GIL), as well as cables, substations, and switchgear in open-air and gas-insulated technology (GIS).


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Planning and designing overhead lines for high and extrahigh voltage levels, with a focus on surveying/routing, mast design/construction, and construction logistics.
  • Creating specification sheets, including tender texts, specifications, datasheets, and layouts.
  • Comparing and evaluating offers/specifications against specification sheets.
  • Reviewing planning documents.

Profile:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Several years of experience in planning, constructing, or operating high and extrahigh voltage overhead lines.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Fluent German language skills.
  • Willingness to travel for planning projects and construction supervision
