Description
Home Care Nurse (m/f/d)

The Training

The training to become a home care nurse is a combination of the three nursing professions (geriatric care, health and nursing care, and pediatric nursing) under the new Nursing Professions Act. Home care nurses provide care and support to individuals in all areas of nursing. They carry out medically prescribed measures, assist with examinations, document patient data, and contribute to quality assurance. Home care nurses also have an increased focus on training, instruction, and counseling. This includes supporting family members and families in situations of health instability, impaired development and autonomy, and highly stressful and critical life situations. The home care nurse profession is regulated nationwide. The three-year training program includes 2500 hours of practical training and 2100 hours of theoretical and practical instruction.

Our Locations

We offer the opportunity for personal specialization during the practical training. This is carried out in our various facilities by specially trained practice instructors. The practical training can be completed in general acute care or general long-term care. Practical training paths can also be chosen in the areas of home care, pediatrics, general acute psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, or geriatric psychiatry. The focus of the practical training and other required placements will be determined together in a preliminary discussion.
