Woodhull Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY 11206
Contract period:
Approx. One year, potential to extend.
We are currently seeking an experienced MEP Inspector to assist the team for the Woodhull Medical Center Roofing Replacement Project located in Brooklyn.
The MEP inspector will be responsible for reviewing documents and performing inspections for the drain replacements, overflow drain installations with the new drainage piping, mechanical equipment relocations and shutdowns, installation of the lightning protection system with the required bonding system, and assistance with safety inspections.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with construction codes and specifications.
- Provide expertise in your specific focus area regarding all MEP aspects of the project to ensure the highest quality work.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to address issues and provide constructive feedback.
- Review project documentation, including plans, drawings, and specifications, to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Materials inspection and acceptance before installation.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise and guidance on construction inspection matters.
- Contribute and help prepare monthly project status reports.
Requirements:
- Degree in engineering or construction management highly preferred; or equivalent work experience/certifications.
- Experience conducting Construction Inspections, particularly for MEP aspects of projects.
- Knowledge of relevant construction codes and regulations.
- 5+ years of construction experience with an MEP focus preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
