The Installation Project Planner position tracks progress and coordinates schedule efforts between the ProjectMaster Schedule (PMS) and Installation Progress Tracker (IPT) for the installation team.

This includes evaluation and assessment of progress, maintaining progress and accurately updating schedules, alignment activities between the IPT, PMS, and schedule of value reporting, providing look-ahead information for various site disciplines, resolving schedule conflicts on site to maintain schedules (internally, with subcontractors, and with customer or other trades on site), providing documentation and support for claims or claims defense, and working with the project planner and project execution team to insure the IPT, PMS, and schedule-related activities support the installation project activities.


The Installation Project Planner will support development of step plans and work plans and provide the necessary knowledge and experience to support the site manager and project manager with EVM reporting, CPM scheduling, and Time Impact Analysis.

The Installation Planner must be familiar with the contract and be the SME regarding notification, development, and support for delay claims during installation.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform Advanced Professional Work related to installation scheduling assignments.
  • Read, interpret, and communicate information from Project Master Schedule for installation, commissioning, and testing activities.
  • Assess project status related to applicable contract documents.
  • Ensure installation progress is accurately reported and coordinated with Project Schedule
  • Drive Consistent Communications between supply chain, installation, commissioning teams including planning and project management departments.
  • Proactive Communicator to alert project team of risks or negative trending for quick resolution.
  • Perform field inspections to gather relevant data to support schedule progress, claim development and defense, and resolve schedule issues with installation and engineering teams.
  • Evaluate areas of schedule improvement or schedule risk
  • Review and process complex comprehensive plan amendments and site plans
  • Assist in supporting Schedule of Value reporting and contractually required schedule deliverables.

Qualifications:


  • Relevant education in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years experience in in construction mgt, project planning, or general construction
  • Demonstrated experience with forensic schedule analysis related to:
  • Critical Path Method
  • Time Impact Analysis
  • EVM and Analysis
  • Resource and Cost Loading
  • Relevant certifications in construction, project management, or scheduling are highly preferred.
  • Background in Materials Handling, Airport Construction or General Construction

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:


  • Advanced proficiency, with Primavera Schedule software
  • S/W proficiency for M/S Project schedule and construction management (Procore)
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of planning and scheduling
  • Solid understanding of EVM reporting, CPM methodology, and Time Impact Analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships and team problemsolving.
  • Creative problemsolving skills
  • Excellent timemanagement abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment
  • High degree of perseverance
  • Skilled in the use of Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, and SharePoint
  • OSHA 30 Certifications will need to be acquired.
  • PANYNJ SWAC (Secure Worker Access Consortium) Certification will need to be acquired.
  • Able to work 100% onsite at JFK New Terminal One Construction Site, Local Project Warehouse, or customer offices per meeting requirements
