Under the direction of the Property Manager, the Porter is responsible for the upkeep of grounds, building common areas, leasing office, parking lots, and other community buildings of multi-family residential properties and leads by example in exhibiting attributes that support NOVO's code of ethics of professionalism by positively representing yourself and NOVO in written and verbal interactions with customers, clients, colleagues, and management.

Who you are

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Basic proficiency of reading and writing of the English language.
  • Minimum one year full‐time related experience
  • Willingness to perform all required tasks
  • Demonstrated knowledge of work safety habits
  • Ability to professionally represent the company
  • Able to work on‐call (as necessary and/or an emergency arises) and extended hours (including after hours and weekends)
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to interact effectively with staff and residents
  • Ability to work individually and with a team

What you'll do

  • Responsible for upkeep of grounds (no landscaping), amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings.
  • Removes trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter on a daily basis
  • Monitors property trash for pickup.
  • Assists in the preparation of market ready units, including removing trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) prior to makeready.
  • Performs assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Assists in the cleaning of available apartments and/or models.
  • Meticulously maintains curb appeal.
  • Represents the community in a professional manner at all timeson/off property.
  • Delivers communication documentation to residents.
  • Ensures that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
  • May need to travel between properties on occasion
  • Performs all other duties as required and assigned.
  • The employee regularly uses hands to type, write and manipulate equipment. This is a largely mobile role that requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. This role frequently requires climbing and working from a ladder. The employee is regularly required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • This job has regular exposure to indoor and outdoor climates
  • Hours for this position are typically Monday
  • Friday 8:30am 5:00pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Physical presence at properties is required to perform the duties of this position.

Pay:
$ $20.00 per hour
