Department 51/2 is the largest department of the Düsseldorf city administration with around 1500 employees and deals with all questions related to childcare until school enrollment. Our common goal is to ensure that children in Düsseldorf's day care centers and childminders grow up healthy, safe and happy. This includes the individual support of all children, responsibility for our employees and ensuring a balance between family and work.

Since 2013, every child who has reached the age of one has been entitled to a place in early childhood education. Meeting this entitlement, even in complex individual and complaint cases, is the central task of the advertised position.

This includes contact with parents as well as cross-provider exchange with daycare center managers, specialist advisors and childminders.
