What does a machine and plant operator do?

Machines are essential in production and increasingly automate production processes. The machine and plant operator sets up production machines and systems, maintains them, and monitors production. If errors occur, they are detected early, defective components are replaced, or they are repaired.

What can you expect at UMAREX?

Nothing works without electricity here: You operate milling machines, as well as turning and drilling machines, and some special machines that are often developed in-house. In addition, you will deal with drilling, threading, chamfering, grooving, as well as fits and materials such as steel, zinc, brass, or plastic. This also involves working with hot soldering ovens.

You always have something to do: Creating and measuring various workpieces, setting up drilling, milling, turning, and special machines, as well as presses, maintaining machines, and creating maintenance plans. You prepare workstations and continuously optimize work processes.

What do we expect?

Operating machines requires a certain technical understanding and manual dexterity. You bring a healthy respect for the often oversized machines, which in turn requires a sense of responsibility, concentration, diligence, and patience.
